Terms of Use
These terms apply whenever you use the Nook app or this website. By creating an account or using Nook, you agree to them. They apply in addition to the terms of the app store you downloaded the app from.
Who can use Nook
Anyone can browse events without an account. To register, host or post, you need an account, and you must be allowed by the law where you live to agree to these terms.
Your account
Give accurate details, keep your sign-in to yourself, and do not create an account in someone else’s name. You are responsible for what is done with your account. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to.
What you post
Events, descriptions, images, your profile and anything else you post stay yours. You confirm that you have the right to post them.
You give Nook a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, show, translate and share what you post within the service — on event pages, in Discover, in notifications and in links people share — for as long as it is on Nook.
The privacy policy says what Nook keeps about you and how to remove it.
What is not allowed
Nook has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Do not post, host or send:
- anything illegal, or events that promote illegal activity;
- hate speech, or attacks on people for who they are;
- harassment, bullying or intimidation;
- threats of violence, or content that encourages violence or self-harm;
- any sexual content involving minors, and sexually explicit material;
- spam, scams, and fake or misleading events;
- impersonation of a person or an organization;
- someone else’s private details, shared without their consent;
- material that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights.
Do not try to break, overload or get around the protections of the service either.
Reporting and blocking
Every event, profile and organization in the app has a Report action. You can also block a user from their profile: their events stop appearing in your feed, search and map, and they can no longer follow you.
We review every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and the account that posted it is suspended or removed for good. We may report serious cases to the authorities.
Events are run by their hosts
Each event is organized by its host, not by Nook. The host is responsible for describing it accurately, for running it lawfully and safely, and for holding or cancelling it as announced. Nook does not check events in advance and is not responsible for what happens at them.
When a host takes payment through Nook, the public offer (in Ukrainian) sets out the terms of that service.
Other services
Events and profiles can link to other websites and apps. They are run by others under their own terms, and Nook is not responsible for them.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Write to us through support if you think we got it wrong.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Nook changes, and the date below shows the current version. We will tell you in the app about changes that matter. Using Nook after a change means you accept it.
No guarantees
Nook is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes.
As far as the law allows, Nook is not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by events, hosts, other users or other services. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you that cannot be limited.
