What is new in Nook

Follow the people and feeds behind the events you like, and hear it first when something new appears.

• •Event posters have been redesigned — the cover fills the print, the type is cleaner, and every poster now carries the event’s link.
• •Repeated listings for the same event are now combined into one.
• •Event action buttons now keep longer labels readable.
• •Organizer console preview now separates orders, tickets, operations and finance, with subscription billing under Settings.
• •Every event now has its own link. Send it to anyone and they will see the whole event — date, place and cover — even without Nook.
• •More event pages now show the full description from local Ukrainian listings when the source provides one.
• •Follow a person or subscribe to a city, venue, or category, and get a notification the moment a matching event is added — with the cover art right there in the notification.
• •Profiles: everything someone hosts, and how many people follow them.
• •Register for events and keep your ticket QR ready for check-in. Hosts can invite and manage guests, then scan tickets at the door.
• •Set an event up completely as you create it: who can see it, how many can come, whether you approve each guest, the questions they answer, and the co-hosts running it with you.
• •Write a proper description: headings, bold, italic, lists, quotes and links, on a page of its own with the formatting applied as you type.
• •An event can be online with a joining link, or wait for its place to be decided. A street address can be kept for the guest list while the city stays public, so people still find the event without knowing where it is yet.
• •Share an event as a poster instead of a link — save it, copy it, or send it straight to your Instagram story. Screenshot an event and Nook offers you the poster.
• •Three home-screen widgets: Nearby, for one event you weren’t looking for; Up next, for the next three; Calendar, for the month with those three beside it.
• •Accessibility throughout: VoiceOver reads a row’s time and place, Reduce Motion is honoured, and every screen keeps its layout at accessibility text sizes.
• •The feed pages as you scroll, so there is no ceiling on what you can browse.
• •The feed refreshes when you return to Nook, so removed or updated events do not linger.
• •Code-entry screens reopen the keyboard when you tap the code boxes again.
• •New events now need a cover photo, and older events without one open with ambient colours from their fallback artwork.
• •The home feed now names the city it is showing. Tap it to browse another one, or hand it back to your location.
• •City names now read in your language, on the feed, the map and event pages alike. Browse another city now includes every city that has upcoming events.
• •Organizations: create one for your company, community or club, invite a team of admins and organizers, and give it a public page at its own handle. Publish events as the organization, credit partner organizations on equal terms, and list the speakers and performers appearing, inviting by email anyone who is not on Nook yet.
• •An invitation now reaches the person invited. Being put on a guest list arrives as a notification, and the invitations waiting on you sit at the top of your home screen until you accept or decline them.
• •Invitations now reach people who aren't on Nook: one email with a link to the event, sent once and never twice, so a host can invite anyone from their contacts rather than only people who already joined.
• •Invite a partner organization and its owner hears about it by email, so a decision about co-organizing no longer waits to be discovered in the app.
