Climate Dialogue: From Climate Risk to Food System Resilience

Climate change, biodiversity loss, and growing geopolitical uncertainty are placing increasing pressure on food systems worldwide. Droughts, floods, ecosystem degradation and supply chain disruptions are affecting food production, trade and food prices, with consequences that extend far beyond the regions directly impacted.

At the same time, advances in climate forecasting and risk analysis are creating new opportunities to anticipate and manage risks before they become crises. From humanitarian action to national preparedness, there is growing recognition that building resilience requires a more forward-looking approach.

How can climate risk assessments help us better prepare for future shocks to food systems? What can we learn from anticipatory approaches that protect lives, livelihoods and food systems before crises unfold? And what do emerging discussions on climate risk, food security and national resilience mean for Europe and Denmark?

Join the World Food Programme (WFP) and CONCITO for a public dialogue on how we can strengthen food system resilience in a changing climate. See attached program.
