Informazioni sull’evento
We often start to learn about wine through the classic appellations, and look to them for reassurance of a wine's style and quality. Maybe you know someone who will only drink Chablis, or always reaches for a Chianti Classico with a ragu. But what about the wines that don't play by the rules, from places you never have heard of?
There's a lot of fun to be had learning about the wines that are redefining how we think about a grape or a region. Mallorca might call to mind beach holidays, but it's also the source of fine, smoky red wines made from the native Callet grape. Jerez once only made Sherry but is now brimming with inventive table wines. Even stuffy old Bordeaux is make noteworthy orange wine! Bring an open mind to this fun and eyeopening tasting of wines from off the beaten track. Just don't tell maman.
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste six to eight wines on a theme, and bread, cheese, and charcuterie are provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
